The Mind of God and the mind of Satan

Isaiah 55:8

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

The Mind of God is unfathomable that is quite obvious, but what about the mind of the diabolical Satan or Lucifer?

Satan being a created being, could it be possible to assess the psychological structure of, and comprehend somewhat the madness that drives this infernal obsessive compulsive usurper of his Creator.

What are his strengths, weaknesses, and neuroses.

This is in contradistinction to theories and practice of so called “scientific” psychology and psychiatry as these are the domain and creations of Satan himself to explain away, excuse sin, deny God, and numb the conscience to empower the guilt free expression of Alister Crowley’s “Do What thou Wilt!”.

I believe it is possible to somewhat comprehend his insanity by the mere operation of looking in our own hearts and motivations which are “… deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

Who can know it indeed! If you have been redeemed by Christ and have understood the depth of your offense before the Holy and Great God, then you are in the unique position to see your heart somewhat in the way God sees your heart.

Scripture gives us much insight into the working of Satan with many statements like in John 8:44

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

It is also revealed to us that

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

as found in john 10:10, in that order is the pattern of decent.

Karl Marx prior to embarking upon his Thesis’ and Communist Manifesto, studied to become a Theologian.

You will find that in many things you should assume nothing.

Was he directed there or was his faith and search a genuine one? None the less it is inconsequential. Hitting upon the idea of how to manipulate and change society he delved into the Christian scriptures to discover the secret and method utilised by Satan to deceive.

From this he developed his method of change and made practical the academic work of German Philosopher George Wilhem Fredrich Hegel touted popularly today as Hegelian Philosophy or Hegelianism, practiced as the Hegelian Dialectic.

The proposition that Hegel made was that all of history could be explained by an action of the collision of two opposing views or forces called thesis (the status quo) and the antithesis (the opposing view) interestingly enough just like in our politics of “democracy” and every decision we are offered in life this artificial device of extremes ignore the vastly numerous alternatives.

That is why we only get to choose in Australia for example, Liberal or Labour on a 2 party preferred basis even if you vote for some other party. We have the same in the US with Republican or Democrat and in England Conservative or Labour, and so on. Yes or No, Black or White, Here or There, Up or Down.

If you only allow two options it is easier to control the outcome.

Thus through conflict between Thesis and Antithesis a new Thesis can be created called Synthesis. Then you can do the process all over again, and inch by inch move your values.

This is the method that has been used in our society to transition us from a God fearing, moral adhering (at least nominally at least via social pressures of unacceptable behaviour etc.) church going, Bible believing peoples to an sin practising, abomination embracing, God denying, Bible mocking, church hating, law breaking bunch of mongrels.

But then this was what was in the hearts of men in the first place, it is only the facilitation of that nature in creating a climate that has allowed the full expression of men’s hearts that we see coming into fullness now.

As a well known old shampoo ad goes here in Australia “It doesn’t happen over night but it does happen.”

Here in lies the method and means by which an individual mind is changed and transitioned from the established way of thinking, believing and feeling on matters towards a way of thinking, believing and feeling that would once upon a time been considered unthinkable and abhorrent. Gradualism.

Consider the words of ex Prime Minister of Australia Bob Hawke who in his “Speech By The Prime Minister, Fabian Society Centenary Dinner – Melbourne – 18 May 1984 where he stated

“Earlier I dealt at some length with the principle of the inevitability of gradualness. There was another important idea – a method more than a principle – which became closely associated with Fabianism. Sidney Webb called it “permeation”. Today it would be called “consensus”.

He then goes on to state that Sidney Webb made it clear that it was not about the vote, it was about changing

“…the mental climate…”

Please read the whole speech as this is very eye opening to the blatant intent to implement “change” coercively against the will of the people beneath their understanding. (They are not trying to go over your head, they are circumventing you by digging under your foundations.) Download the PDF from

Bob Hawke continued to reveal the game plan.

“… as myself put it… the need for those who would advocate change to temper their fervour with a sense of gradualism.”

Kim Beasley expressed the same sentiments stating in The Australian 28th August 1997,

“I believe these things are done incrementally. You prepare a public mind, a public attitude; you create an acceptance of the unacceptable…”

Fear not though the words of the proud. They give the game away before the time as explained in Psalm 64:8

“So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.”

The weakness of Satan is found in the passions of man.

The strength of God can be found in the frailties of man , for He is the strength in our weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9.

The very means by which Satan uses man and seeks to usurp God, via our lusts and sin, is the very weakness that brings him down to the sides of the pit through Christ.

And so briefly we see the method that Satan uses is a 2 pronged approach.

As stated in Season 3 of Sci Fi Tv Series Babylon 5 that the Vorlons always said truth is a 3 edged sword, what they say, what the others say and the truth.”

That “truth” is the synthesis generated by the conflict of the they say, the others say.

This TV shows declares this Hegelian principle loud and clear with two opposing aliens forces The Vorlons and the Shadows. The end result is the Humans choose to find their own way between the darkness and the light.

Just like most TV shows who are toying with the masses, and also fulfilling the obligation of telegraphing the coming system of things as required by the Talmudic Law. This is an example of such.

Rick Warren puts it this way in his speech at the 2009 Islamic Society Convention run by Islamic Society of North America ISNA, speaking about criticism he will receive for speaking at the Islamic Conference

“… when you walk down the middle of the street you’ll get hit from both directions.

Funnily in the occult arts you can choose the Right Hand Path or the Left Hand Path, Buddha teaches a “middle way.” which is clearly Rick Warrens way. Something I will discuss in these blogs.

But very few teach the Narrow Way of Jesus Christ.

Now the Narrow Way has no relationship to the Hegelian principle at all, since this principle only is empowered by a people lacking in self-control. I hinges upon the idea that we all function on an approach pleasure avoid pain principle.

It is in this way that the sin nature of man is used as a social cattle prod to corral the masses in the gradual direction intended. This is why Jesus set the captives free. We are slaves to sin, and in Christ Jesus we find liberty to obey God and not our passions.

Thus the following foolishness according to the world follows:

Romans 6:11-13  11

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

1 Corinthians 15:31

“I die daily.”

Luke 9:23-24

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”

This last passage is critical in understanding well in the use of the Greek word for “deny” for this word avparne, omai  pronounced “aparneomai” could be rendered contradict, or to act totally unlike oneself.

We are to contradict ourselves that means to to act contrary to our passions and against our lusts.

How can this happen, doesn’t that mean we are at war with ourselves?

It is hear we embark upon the clear teaching of scripture that that is the case for Christians.

1 Peter 2:11

“Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;”

1 Peter 4:1-2

“Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”

Romans 12:2

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 7:23-25

“But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.”

Only a true Christian has the power to not be corralled and is the prime obstruction to Satan’s plans and the little wicked plans of mice and men.

That is why Jesus, the Bible, Christians, The ten Commandments, even morality is under attack from every enemy that has ever raised it’s head against God and His people. This is the key that frees the prisoners. The death and resurrection of Christ and his payment for our sin

Instead now, returning to the passage of scripture which headlined this piece,  Isaiah 55:8 we have a brief look at the mind of God, specifically the use of the word “thoughts” in Hebrew hb’v’x]m; pronounced “machashabah” which has the thought of weaving or braiding which derives from the root verb bvx  reading right to left het shin, bet.

This should bring to our mind Ecclesiastes 4:11-12

“Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?  12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

What is most interesting though on this is that the Hebrew that forms the Old Testament is based upon triads or 3’s, virtually all Hebrew words when broken down to their root consist of 3 letters.

Equally of interest is the veiled understanding of the Tri-Unity of the Godhead of Father Son and Spirit whose thoughts are intertwined or braided together so they are in agreement and as John 5:7-8 says “these three are one.”

We also see this structure in music, namely the Chord, 3 notes played together, or the 3 primary colours.

Amazingly we see this same concept behind the weaving behind the human DNA strand, yet as Ecclesiastes said “… if two lie together, then they have heat” that is much of what our life is, a generation of heat then entropy, clearly the 3rd strand is required for eternal life as the DNA strand only possesses 2 strands.

I will refrain from discussing the attempts by researchers to develop a triple helix. What ever the outcome it will be an abomination.

The psychology of Satan is an ever changing, transitioning, perpetual wandering in dark dry places of which the destiny and the end goal is of no particular end, as long as it detracts from the soul of man finding rest in the arms of God’s own Son and Saviour of men.

The mind of God is one of construction, it builds on a good foundation and creates life, forever.

It is this factor of the perpetual forward looking mind of God that makes it an unfathomable project to complete. One that is capable of creating that which as                      1 Corinthians 2:9-11  explains reiterating the words of Isaiah 64:4

“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”

Let us not ignore verse 10, for in here lies great encouragement in the quest we embark upon. Especially the conclusion of this Chapter 1 Corinthians 2:16

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit. The “us” is those who have repented and believed on the Son of God, His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection. For surely without resurrection what is the point of forgiveness if only for this short lifetime? How miserable is that.

If you ask of Him He will give you the Holy Spirit as John 16:13 states

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

We are also a braided creature for we are made in the likeness of God, we are a Tripartite being Body Soul and Spirit. But we lack the integrity of communing easily with our parts each function quite separately and at war one with another.

So here I hope to have displayed that yes, the mind of God as unfathomable as it is also knowable.

Not in the way man understands knowledge, as to acquire a set of facts to reach a completion. But rather God revealing himself by His Spirit to His sons and daughters over their finite lives.

It is the incorporation of the accumulated understanding and knowledge of great men of God of the past that allows us to, as the proverbial saying goes “stand on the shoulders of giants”.

Or more aptly put stones built up into that great city of God.

I look forward to greatly enjoying this documented journey into the revelation of God for His people, so that maybe, sometime, someone may find the ability to stand on another set of shoulders and find the view just that bit more revealing over the horizon.

Blessings in the Wonderful Name of Salvation
